The Centrifuge Balance, model CB220, is an electronic differential scale with advanced features. This digital scale has two weight sensors and control circuits which allow for the simultaneous measurement of two objects. The difference in the weights is displayed and an indicator lamp identifies the lighter object. |

Centrifuges are used routinely in laboratories and blood banks to process units of whole blood. It is vital to ensure that “cups” positioned across from each other in the centrifuge are balanced to prevent damage to this expensive equipment. The balancing process, which is slow and tedious, is greatly improved by using the Genesis Electronic Centrifuge Balance. One cup is placed on each tray of the CB220. If the cups are balanced, the operator sees the “GOOD” indicator illuminated. The “GOOD” indicator illuminates when the weight differential is within the range of +/- 2 grams. If the cups are out of balance, the operator sees the amount of weight that must be added to the tray indicated by an LED on the front panel. |
