SEPAX system consists of:
• The SEPAX machine, a portable, computer-operated centrifugation and pump device
• The separation kits, which are sterile, disposable separation units composed of a separation chamber, connecting tubes, stopcock manifold, and collection bags
• The separation protocols, computer programs managing the
separation process. Fully automated and polyvalent, the SEPAX
machine is the ideal platform for every laboratory requiring cells to
be processed repeatedly and in a standardized manner |

Key SEPAX components
• Centrifuge with maximum speed of 8,000 rpm
• Pneumatic pump system with vacuum and pressure capability to fill and empty the separation chamber. The line pressure is monitored by a dedicated sensor
• CCD detector for volume measurement in the separation chamber with accuracy of + 1 ml
• Rotary ‘pins’ for stopcock selection to control the flow direction in the separation kit
• Optical line sensor to monitor the different components passing
through the tubing
• Electronics and computer system for controlling the automated process, including memory card and RS-232 communications port
